Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the AstroPlan iOS application published by P² Apps (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By downloading or using AstroPlan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.


The app

AstroPlan helps you plan astrophotography and observing sessions by ranking targets, showing sky conditions, and providing sky maps and guides for your location and date.

AstroPlan is provided for informational and planning purposes only. It is not a substitute for your own judgment, equipment checks, or safe observing practices.


Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use AstroPlan on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law or Apple’s rules.


AstroPlan Pro subscriptions

Some features require an AstroPlan Pro subscription.

Prices and available plans are shown in the app at purchase time.

Disclaimers

Weather, seeing, and forecasts come from third-party sources and may be wrong or unavailable. Astronomical calculations depend on your location, date, and settings.

We do not guarantee that:

Always verify conditions on site. Do not rely on AstroPlan for safety-critical decisions, navigation, or operation of vehicles or equipment.

Pro AI-generated guides are assistive text. They may contain errors. Use your own experience and check equipment settings before imaging.


Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, P² Apps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of AstroPlan, including lost imaging time, equipment issues, or reliance on forecasts or guides.

Our total liability for any claim relating to AstroPlan shall not exceed the amount you paid us for AstroPlan Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or £10, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.


Intellectual property

AstroPlan, its design, catalogue content, and branding are owned by P² Apps or our licensors. Deep-sky object data and reference material are provided for personal planning use within the app.

Third-party services (weather providers, Apple, etc.) remain the property of their respective owners.


Apple

These Terms are between you and P² Apps, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for AstroPlan or its content.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for AstroPlan.

In the event of failure of AstroPlan to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.

Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to AstroPlan, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual-property claims.

Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.


Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how AstroPlan handles information.


Changes

We may update AstroPlan and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.


Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country give you different rights.
