Subscriptions & billing
AstroPlan Pro is billed through your Apple ID.
- Upgrade or restore: Settings → Pro inside the app
- Cancel or change plan: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Refunds: Request through Apple Support — Apple processes App Store payments
We cannot access your payment details or issue App Store refunds directly.
Common questions
The target list is empty
Check Settings → Min. altitude, Min. aperture, and Premier only. Confirm your location is correct and try changing the planning date on Home to tonight.
Weather or Bortle will not load
You need an internet connection. Open Settings → Refresh conditions. Astronomy (rise/set, rankings) still works offline; live weather may not.
AR sky map is misaligned
Calibrate with the moon or sun buttons when visible. Move away from metal, wave the phone in a figure-eight, and use portrait mode. Indoors, use disc map mode instead.
AR says daily limit reached
Free users get unlimited AR for the first 7 days, then 3 AR sessions per day. AstroPlan Pro removes the daily cap. Disc sky map is always unlimited.
A catalogue object is locked
Free users can open Popular targets, tonight’s list, and favourites. Pro unlocks the full catalogue.
Pro guide says AI unavailable
The app falls back to on-device guide text. Check your network connection for full cloud AI guides.
Notifications never arrive
Enable notifications for AstroPlan in iOS Settings. Check max. cloud cover and Notify anyway in AstroPlan Settings — alerts may skip cloudy nights unless you override.
